LAS VEGAS – March 4, 2015 - It’s been called, “Boxing’s widest non-PPV platform in years…” by Boxing News, the “…start or re-start” of Fight of the Week …” by the LA Daily News and it’s production values have been heralded by Kevin Iole at Yahoo Sports as featuring “…new camera technology that hasn't been used before that should give the audience an unprecedented insight into the action.” It is the debut of Premier Boxing Champions on NBC, the live, primetime boxing series debut on Saturday, March 7 at 8:30 p.m. EST/5:30 p.m. PST.  

The event marks the inaugural Premier Boxing Champions (PBC) fight, which showcases a diverse and electrifying pair of blockbuster bouts as well as three undercard fights. Led by the mammoth pairings of Keith Thurman (24-21-0) vs. Robert Guerrero  (32-2-1) for the WBC Welterweight Title and light middleweight fight featuring Adrien Broner (29-22-1) vs. John Molina Jr. (27-5-0), the card also features the featherweight bout of Abner Mares (28-14-1) vs. Jose Santos Reyes (18-4-5) live from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.  

The broadcast team includes the leading analysts, commentators and host in the sport of boxing and sports broadcasting. Led by blow-by-blow announcer Marv Albert, analyst “Sugar” Ray Leonard and host Al Michaels, also joining the team are corner analysts Laila Ali and B.J. Flores, ringside reporters Kenny Rice and Chris Mannix, with Rice also serving as the blow-by-blow announcer on select NBCSN shows.  

Production value for the series will also set a new standard in the sport. Viewers will be indulged in a 360-degree camera positioning, giving the audience a clear and broader look at the action, following the movements, punches and knock outs with standard-setting clarity. From the staging in the arena to the original theme song written by Oscar-winning composer Hans Zimmer, the production team has re-imagined the presentation of boxing to fans and viewers. From in-arena to on TV, appreciating the sport of boxing has never been presented this way.  From the NBC to NBCSN broadcasts, the partnership of PBC on NBC includes 20 live boxing events in 2015, with NBCSports Group presenting more than 50 hours of PBC coverage, including NBCSN pre- and post-fight programming for NBC telecasts. The Premier Boxing Champions series is created for television by Haymon Boxing.
