TELEMUNDO DELIVERS BEST AUGUST RESULTS EVER AS FASTEST GROWING SPANISH-LANGUAGE BROADCAST NETWORK

Network Registers Smallest Gap with Univision in History among Key Demos

 

MIAMI – September 1, 2015 – TELEMUNDO produced its best August results ever averaging 843,000 adults 18-49, up 13% year-over-year, and 387,000 adults 18-34, up 21% year-over-year, in Monday-Friday primetime, according to Nielsen. This registers the smallest gap with Univision in its history (124,000 and 29,000 respectively). Compared to the prior month, the gap has decreased nearly 50% in adults 18-49 (238,000) and almost 80% in adults 18-34 (127,000).

TELEMUNDO’s Monday-Friday programming at 10pm ranked the network at #1 Spanish-language network in August among adults 18-49 and adults 18-34. With the third season of the network’s hit super series “El Señor de los Cielos,” TELEMUNDO delivered an average of 1.45 million adults 18-49 and 691,000 adults 18-34 this month. In addition, the network’s newest 9pm telenovela, “Bajo El Mismo Cielo,” is averaging 846,000 adults 18-49 and 1.6 million total viewers, premiere-to-date.

TELEMUNDO’s news properties are on pace to deliver record performances this month, with “Un Nuevo Día” and “Noticiero Telemundo” delivering their best August in network history. “Un Nuevo Día” is garnering 272,000 total viewers and 108,000 adults 18-49, while “Noticiero Telemundo” is at 916,000 total viewers and 344,000 adults 18-49. Additionally, the network’s late night sports show, “Titulares y Mas,” is on track to score its best August ever, with 516,000 total viewers and 284,000 adults 18-49 at11:35pm on weekdays.
