The self-proclaimed “heroes of rhythm”, EL CONJUNTO NUEVA OLAwrap up yet another successful year with their already classic ‘Cumbia Posada’ at La Cita in Los Angeles set for Saturday December 14, 2014.
 
The Latin-American tradition of Posadas is driven to high gear with the antics of EL CONJUNTO NUEVA OLA who are ready to share & thank their fans for a wonderful year of accomplishments.
 
Earlier in the year the group signed a management agreement that allowed the group to explore additional facets to the band members’ careers, including television and film opportunities.
 
Performances throughout California and Telemundo/mun2 Decarga 2013 in Las Vegas & Universal City Walk, including a successful performance at AMOEBA MUSIC in Hollywood  where they captivated audiences to the rhythm of CUMBIA.
 
Add to that, for a third consecutive year, EL CONJUNTO NUEVA OLA made a memorable triumphant red carpet entrance riding on Harley Davidson motorcycles at the Dolby Theatre for the prestigious Billboard Regional Mexican Music Awards.
 
But what about the fashion world? The band also made noise in the fashion industry too, by being named ‘Worst Dressed’ for the third year in a row by People En Español.com, a recognition they are definitely not losing sleep over, and, on the contrary, are amused by such a noble distinction.

Lastly, the group has become a media darling among Univision, Telemundo, Estrella TV, Mundo Fox and Azteca.

The group is known for their humorous songs that make light of popular culture and often parody specific songs by contemporary Latin & American musical acts. In their three year career span, the band has developed a cult following through its tight instrumentation and gimmicky high-energy stage shows. When performing live, band members wear extravagant costumes and personalized Mexican wrestling masks to maintain their anonymity. 
 
Originally from Mexico City, EL CONJUNTO NUEVA OLA consists of leader and vocalist Urbano López, Luzio Nava on guitar, Primitivo Ríos on bass, Hipólito Madero on percussion, Tacho on timbales, and El Raio Manzares on keyboard.
