HOST DÍA DE LOS MUERTOS - NOCHE DE OFRENDAS ON OCTOBER 25TH

Event will authentically honor the Mexican tradition with a unique cultural experience to

benefit MOLAA’s exhibition and art education initiatives

 

 

WHAT:                                The Museum of Latin American Art (MOLAA), the only museum in the United States dedicated to modern and contemporary Latin American art, will host a “Día de los Muertos” Fundraiser in celebration of the traditional Mexican holiday honoring loved ones who have passed away. The event is open to the public and all ticket proceeds will benefit the museum’s exhibitions and art education programs.

                                                Highlights of the benefit include a special performance of “La Muerte Vive,” a rock opera meets cabaret starring Santos de los Angeles and Ms. Ruby Champagne; a silent auction featuring one-of-a-kind travel, art and entertainment packages; and traditional holiday food and specialty cocktails. Guests will also be able to view altars guest-curated by Tony Dominguez and designed by celebrities including Hector Elizondo, Sergio Arau, Valente Rodriguez and Mar Yvette. Including an altar in honor of Gabriel Garcia Marquez.
