Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico (July 23, 2021) - The world’s first anti-boyband, AQUIHAYAQUIHAY, returns with an all new single “Tanto.” As the forerunners of the Mexican pop movement, the group continues to pave the way for a new era of music worldwide. Just as their last two EP’s served as an emotional guide; “Tanto” stays true to their essence by showcasing a deep and unapologetic failed summer love. “Tanto” is now available for streaming on all platforms.
Produced by Phynx, AQUIHAYAQUIHAY member, Lara Project and in collaboration with Alvaro Diaz, “Tanto” encapsulates a lonely guitar, relatable lyrics and catchy vocals as it carries us through the deep and inner emotions of a failed love. The song brings the most sincere and vulnerable AQUIHAYAQUIHAY since the release of Dropout, with a mature and vivid focus. “Tanto” is a song that discusses shame in a non-guilty way, making you aware that as humans we all experience similar life challenges. As always, AQUIHAYAQUIHAY uses their music to embrace their differences - physically and emotionally - emphasizing the importance of coexisting in harmony and respecting one another’s beliefs, while also remaining true to their own.
With this new release, the group launches their summer music series which will deliver new music to the fans on a weekly basis.
AQUIHAYAQUIHAY is signed to independent Mexican record label SLOWLY. SLOWY’s roster also includes Lil Benjas, Abhir Hathi, Neqer, Zizzy, La Malilla, Lulu, Pinky06 and more.
