MACY’S THANKSGIVING DAY PARADE RETURNS TO TELEMUNDO IN A LIVE BROADCAST EXCLUSIVELY IN ESPAÑOL AND HOSTED BY CARLOS PONCE AND JESSICA CARRILLO
The Nation’s Annual Favorite Holiday Event Celebrating its 90th Edition, will Air Thursday, November 24 from 9am to 12pm in All Time Zones
MIAMI – November 1, 2016 – America’s favorite holiday tradition will once again kick-off the season of joy as the 90th Annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade returns to TELEMUNDO on Thursday, November 24, from 9am to 12pm, in all time zones. From the streets of New York City, the U.S. Hispanic network’s renowned TV personalities, Carlos Ponce (Silvana Sin Lana) and Jessica Carrillo (Don Francisco Te Invita/Al Rojo Vivo con Maria Celeste), will host the live broadcast exclusively in Spanish. With more than 3.5 million spectators and over 50 million television viewers nationwide, the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade is the nation’s most celebrated and anticipated holiday treat. TELEMUNDO will air simultaneously with NBC, whose hosts are Matt Lauer, Savannah Guthrie and Al Roker of NBC’s “Today.”
The 90th procession will feature a star-studded cast who will celebrate the holiday with America, with a host of giant character balloons, dazzling floats, the nation’s best marching bands and performance groups, celebrities, the world-famous Radio City Rockettes® and the official entrance of the one-and-only Santa Claus. Joining the festivities this year are Kelsea Ballerini, Tony Bennett, Aloe Blacc, Chloe x Halle, Easton Corbin, Daya, De La Soul, Diamante Eléctrico, Brett Eldredge, Fitz & the Tantrums, Christopher Jackson, Sandra Lee, Maddie & Tae, Sarah McLachlan, NHL legends Adam Graves and Eric Lindros, Ben Rector and Regina Spektor, the cast and Muppets of “Sesame Street,” Sprout’s Chica, Timeflies, U.S. Olympic Gold Medalists Michelle Carter and Laurie Hernandez and Claressa Shields, U.S. Paralympic Gold Medalists Mikey Brannigan and Gianfranco Iannotta, Grace VanderWaal, Jacob Whitesides, and a sneak preview performance from the NBC’s “Hairspray Live!,” among others.

Carlos Ponce, who recently joined TELEMUNDO as an exclusive talent, is an internationally recognized Puerto Rican actor, singer-songwriter and host, as well as the lead actor of the network’s primetime series “Silvana Sin Lana” (8pm/7c). His albums have become double platinum and held the #1 spot in the Latin Billboard charts in the USA, Central, and South America. As an actor, he has starred in Spanish-language productions including, “Dame Chocolate,” “Perro Amor” and “Santa Diabla.” In American television and film, he has played various roles throughout his career in productions such as Beverly Hills 90210, 7th Heaven, Just My Luck, Deuce Bigalow: European Gigolo, Telenovela, Cristela, Devious Maids, Couples Retreat, Spy, and in animated films such as Río, Freebirds and Ice Age 5, among others. Additionally, Ponce has also served as co-host of the Latin Billboard Awards, Premios Tu Mundo, Entertainment Tonight, and the Miss Universe pageant in Spanish, on multiple occasions, and in English in 2006.
Jessica Carrillo is the co-host of TELEMUNDO’s new Sunday night show “Don Francisco Te Invita,” (10pm/9c), and the entertainment correspondent for “Al Rojo Vivo con Maria Celeste," weekdays at 4pm/3c. She recently joined Mario Kreutzberger, known as Don Francisco, in a new phase where she presents, alongside the international media icon, the talk and variety show featuring TV personalities, music stars, comedians, as well as people with amazing stories and talents. Jessica recently won the hearts of the viewers across the nation during the 2016 Olympic coverage from Rio. Born in Jalisco, Mexico, she has been featured as host of the Spanish-language version of NBC’s popular show, Access Hollywood on Al Rojo Vivo and has hosted important specials for the U.S. Hispanic network.
