MIAMI (October 28, 2016) - Multi-platinum, GRAMMY® Award-winning singer/songwriter and global recording artist Shakira released her new single “Chantaje” today. “Chantaje” is Shakira’s first official Spanish-language single since the release of “La La La” off her self-titled album Shakira in 2014. The highly anticipated new track is a collaboration with fellow Colombian artist, Maluma
 
The single was written and Produced by Shakira and Maluma with Kevin Jimenez, Chan “El Genio” and Kenai.
 
The video for “Chantaje” was recently filmed in Barcelona, Spain with video director Juame De La Iguana.  The new single follows Shakira’s recent successful collaboration with Carlos Vives “La Bicicleta” which remains a global hit. The record-breaking song topped the charts in Colombia where it remained #1 for 18 consecutive weeks and in Spain where it remained #1 on the charts for 13 weeks. The song also reached #1 on the US Latin charts as well as Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Costa Rica, Guatemala and Panama. Shakira is currently in the studio working on her upcoming album.
